About the PCL
PCL is a European-owned company with a strong focus on the distribution of household power protection products (e.g. Fridge Guards, TV Guards, etc.).
Currently PCL aims to create a local sales team to improve its sales, particularly in Dar es Salaam.
A key product distributed by PCL is Fridge Guard (see the image on the right). Voltage fluctuation (e.g. due to power cuts) is harmful to electrical appliances. The Fridge Guard protects the fridge from such
damage.

Detailed Job Description
As a PCL salesperson, you will visit retail outlets that sell PCL’s products in Dar, gather intelligence on the sales of PCL’s products, build a customer database and maximize sales through these outlets. Your goal is to work with the sales director and identify whether PCL should supply its products to the sale points directly or via a reseller.
You will be expected to attend daily, weekly and monthly meeting with the Managing Director and Sales Director to communicate the progress of the project and receive relevant training.

sales directors, or even become a business owner of his or her own retail network. If you are ambitious, PCL is

The generalized work activities are summarized as follows.
1. Establishing and Maintaining Relationships with Clients to Maximize Sales through Outlets
Developing working relationships with clients, and maintaining them over time. In addition, the job
involves communicating with people outside the organization and representing the PCL to customers
and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person or in writing.
2. Market Intelligence Gathering
Observing, receiving, and obtaining information from all relevant sources. All information should be
organized in a systematic way (e.g. inside a CRM system) so that information can be extracted for
decision making.
3. Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
Providing information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Package
The initial salary is market-competitive, and the final salary is determined by your sales. With more experience, a
salesperson who handles a sale account of 100m Tsh should expect a salary (incl. commission) with 1.7m Tsh.

Who we look for
PCL is looking for candidates who currently live in Dar es Salaam with the following credentials.
1. Self-motivated, confident, communicative, trust worthy and good work ethics
2. A bachelor degree from any discipline
3. Strong numerical skills
4. communication skills in English, including reading comprehension, writing and speaking
5. Competency in Microsoft Excel
