Lemaya Interiors is currently looking for individuals who will work with the company as accountant, sales personal and related duties to ensure the business is highly growing and the target market is reached at the exactly time with a quality services.
JOB Title: ACCOUNTANT
POSITIONS: 1
LOCATION: ARUSHA
Responsibilities
• Implement Company financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure integrity of data is maintained so that financial and reporting information is timely and accurate.
• Ensure consistent application of all relevant policies and procedures
• Participate in internal and external audit, supervising and responding to audit queries during statutory and revenues authority tax audits to final or conclusion stage. Build up and maintain clear communication and co-operation with all internal and external auditors
• Provide tax related support ensuring company is compliant with statutory requirements
• Collection of revenue from our customers posting in to the accounting software.
• Participate in stock take.
• Updating and advising on the changes of Tanzania business environment such as new Tax laws/regulation or amendments, political and others that may affect company’s operation in the country.
• Review fixed assets register and accounting (acquisition, sales, depreciation) and performs regular inventories.
• Regularly prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports, statements and records.
• Manage the stock system, through ordering of stock items and maintaining the stock ledger
• Perform other duties as directed by the Financial Officer or Management.
Essential Requirements
• Advanced diploma/University degree in financial accounting with at least 2 years of proven experience in related field.
• Good knowledge of various accounting packages
• High level of integrity.
• Dependably provide sound support and where required recommendations.
• Strong sense of urgency and outcomes focused.
• Good knowledge of relevant taxation legislation.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Sound time management, planning and cost management skills are essential.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Information security – appreciate the importance of securing commercial and confidential information.
• Safety - observe safety procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
• Adapts to changes quickly, produce results and meet targets.
• Demonstrated communication skills, dynamic in nature and a team player, including consultation.
Desirable education/qualifications
Studying towards a CPA.
