We are inviting qualified people to be part of our team for the following position. Position: Internal Audit Officer
Job Responsibilities:
1. Assist in distributing Audit Need Assessment (ANA) throughout the CFO in consultation with the management.
2. Input data received from field and help in preparing the Annual Audit Plan in accordance with the ranking of risk assessed in the ANA process.
3. Carry out audits as per the annual plan and as per management’s instruction to ensure that organization resources are not misappropriated.
4. Visit the Branch Offices to ascertain uniformity of their systems and controls with those of HQ.
5. Facilitate internal and external audit of all Program Support departments.
6. Analyze work process flows, recommend improvements and highlight redundancies within the system
7. Report to the supervisor and upon authorization implement changes within the mission where non-compliance is evident.
8. Perform physical checking to ensure that all HQ generated policies and procedures are followed and in compliance.
9. Assist management in performing regular surprise and planned checks on all departments to ensure policy compliance.
10. Ensure that ASA Tanzania meets fiscal rules/regulations set by the Government of Tanzania time to time.
11. Discuss audit observations and findings with the CEO.
12. Prepare detail audit reports highlighting the internal control strengths/weaknesses and comments/ recommendations on operational improvements. Submit the report and related work file to supervisor for reviewing.
13. Follow-up implementation status of the audit recommendations.
14. Assist management in arranging training/workshop for the staff regarding audit and rules & regulations issues.
15. Conduct departmental administrative works like preparing budget, PR, documentation etc.
16. Send regular report to the respective department on time and perform other duties as assigned, like investigations, spot checks, special review works etc.
17. Have frequent visit to different branches and stay night at branch on specific schedule.
Academic Qualification & Experience Requirements:
Masters/ Bachelors in Commerce in Accounting/Finance/Taxation/Auditing or related subject.
Minimum 5 – 7 years professional experiences in relevant field.
Experience in working with NGOs/Financial Institutions/Banks/Group of Companies

Computer Literacy: Well conversant with Ms Office Package, Excel and Acpac plus/ Tally and in-house developed software.

Salary Range: Attractive salary will be offered on the basis of qualification, competencies and experiences.
Job Location: Dar es Salaam and Surrounding Regions.
