THE AGA KHAN HOSPITAL BASED IN DAR ES SALAAM TANZANIA IS SEEKING ENTHUSIASTIC AND QUALIFIED EXPERIENCED PERSONNEL FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:
2. Maintenance Technician
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
•Ensures supply of Utilities (electricity, water, Medical Gases) to the hospital Through Proper Monitoring.
•Performs routine and emergency maintenance on the generators, pumps, medical gases, water supply systems AT~ and Synchronization Panels.
•Repairs all small and large Electrical/ mechanical/Plumbing equipment and machines in the hospital including Generators, pumps compressors washing machines and Kitchen Equipment.
•Checks the levels of in-coming DAWASCO/ TANASCO supply and timely switch over to the alternate supply, in case of power /water supply failure.
•Prepares documentation (e.g. record/ logs) For the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying Information.
•Helps his supervisor in Requesting equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required spares/consumables to complete the necessary installation/repair.
• Maintains departmental/Personal tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe Operating condition.
• Performs shift duties for 24/7 coverage of maintenance services to the Hospital
• Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety Concerns.
QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ACADEMIC/EDUCATION:
• Diploma OR VETA Grad one Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
• At least five years of hands on experience in Hospital or Hotel Industry for diploma Holder
• At least 7 years of hands on experience in Hospital or Hotel Industry for VETA certificate Holder
• Should be able to read engineering drawings and Operation and service manuals
