Job Description
To facilitate silver leaf parent survey community households in the Kilimanjaro Region
Deadline 19th February2016
Silver leaf Academy is a new group of affordable, high quality schools in Tanzania. Our mission is
to provide the highest quality learning at the most affordable levels. We are launching our first set
of primary schools in the towns of Moshi and Arusha and we are looking for research interns that
can help up with parent survey in the moshi community households in the Kilimanjaro Region.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Facilitate, design and conduct research surveys within Moshi local communities
Work with field officer to identify potential partners within the community
Conduct needs assessment activities (focus groups and interviews)
Data collection using technology tools i;e Smartphone
Contribute to the report-writing
Provide insight into the community, as well as translation (Swahili-English) as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate with experience working in education or community development.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Fluency in English and Swahili
Strong knowledge, understanding and experience in Research.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Intimate familiarity with Moshi and surrounding communities
You also need to have a smart phone.
