Our Client is one of the leading safari travel operators in Arusha and Tanzania in general, offering scheduled or tailor-made travel to; Serengeti, Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and other fantastic holiday destinations in Tanzania & Zanzibar. Nature of business is a family run business which was founded more than 25 years ago and has grown significantly since then at a steady pace. Our client is well-known for their excellent standards of service, reliability, safety, great value for money and their amazing safaris experience.
Our requirements are:
  • Daily tasks include maintaining clients’ social media calendars; writing engaging daily content; compiling activity re-cap reports for clients; responding both actively and proactively to all posts; regularly liaising other Clients colleagues to gather timely content; working with the creative team and outside vendors to design effective social media imagery; and managing and fostering relationships with clients and their constituents to create content that is inspiring and reflective of their travel products.
  • Create and foster relationships with social media influencers and identify unique ways to create programs that will increase awareness of our clients among their following.
  • Monitor Tanzania Tourism social media news on a daily basis for latest trends and appropriate case studies.
·         Travel writers must have a knack for writing interesting descriptions and an ability to create interesting visual pictures through the use of words.
·         Partner with sales, corporate development team members, and executives to create accurate, persuasive, compelling, and responsive documents and written correspondence.
·         Maintain and update Company content library and proposal database. Keep the content library scrupulously current, on-message, well-written, and accurate.
·          Use creative thinking and initiative to analyze site performance metrics and make recommendations on content, site design or features to improve effectiveness of web content and/or applications.
·         Writing and composing travel related reviews of Tanzania, Arusha particularly & places based on their personal experiences & visits - for travel portals, magazines and travel guides. 
·         Ability to write engaging web copy that converts a mildly inquisitive surfer into a paying customer.
·         Ability to rewrite & improve our client existing web content, helping the company to connect with our audiences by weaving together company brand's story.
·         You will be taking care of the client ongoing content needs by writing blog posts & maintaining company blogs.
·         We expect you to do creative writing for our social media contents including updating them on daily/weekly/monthly & annual basis.
Requirements For this Post:
·        Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media tools and applications with a special focus on tourism marketing.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Proficient in using new technologies and web-based platforms.
  • Self-starter; organized; able to multitask and balance multiple responsibilities and also communicate independently with minimum supervision.
  • Strong visual communications skills.
  • Proven networking skills and ability to interact with client at all levels, including senior management.
  • Graphic design capabilities are a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with and strong interest in development tourism business issues is desirable.
·         Have a passion and love for travel and writing.
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
·        Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Mass Media or similar degree.
Experience:
·        Atleast two years of relevant experience as Writer in marketing, advertising or relevant field in the strategic use and monitoring of social media.
Language:
·        An excellent command of English is required.
·        Knowledge of Swahili is an asset.
Remuneration:
·         Negotiable.
When to Start: Immediate commencement for the successful candidate.
