New Habari (2006) ltd one of the reputable media house in Tanzania wishes to recruit a suitable candidates to fill the vacancy of zonal sales representative in the followings zones, central zone, southern zone and southern higherland.

The role:
The zonal sales representative will be reporting to the Business Manager Upcountry and is responsible for representing the NHL in the specified zones.

Job purpose:
To develop, maintain and increase a solidly dependable client base, to sell advertising space and provide an effective service to clients so as to maximize advertising sales volumes and revenue targets.

Background and scope:
With an effective and well-coordinated sales strategy, this position entails maximizing volume and revenue in sales and cash collection for increased profitability for NHL and affiliated business units. The job holder identifies the market potential. develops a sales plan and executes the plan through visits, calls and customer care initiatives. He/she should come up with creative ideas that will generate revenue.

Main Responsibilities:-
(i) Thoroughly familiarizes oneself with comparative (own and competition)readership, circulation, rates and cost of advertising in a ll print, electronic& Social media.
(ii) Identifies potential advertising clients, studies their business, current and potential customers and to convince the clients on the value and benefits of advertising in newspapers and publications published by the NHL.
(iii) Executes sales by discussing and obtaining accurate client requirements, size of advertisements, dates for insertion, price and obtains confirmation signatures of the authorized client representatives.
(iv) Assists clients in the preparation of the advertising copy and liaises with the Graphic Designer for professional advice on artwork.
(vii) Prepares daily call plans, reports and discusses them with the
Upcountry Business Manager and reports any problems encountered for assistance and guidance.

General Qualifications:-
University degree in Business Administration majoring in Sales and Marketing.
1-3 years relevant working experience.

Specific Qualifications:-
Achieves agreed targets
Sales: 100% against target
Collection: 100& against target
Make good levels: 0.2% of revenue
Deadlines control: zero tolerance
Customer service: 24 hours turn around for resolution of complaints.
