General Job Description:

The Digital Media Specialist will be motivated to attract and interact with targeted virtual business communities.  The goal of this role will be to build a comprehensive social media marketing platform utilizing all aspects of a digital marketing roadmap to build more reputable tourism marketing through various social media. This position need someone knowledgeable with Tanzania tourism & Travel industry with strong passion to use his time to bring in media ideal well prepared travel packages for our client business.

Duties & Responsibilities

·         Responsible for daily posts to all social media outlets.

·         Create stylish, quippy content for multiple social channels.

·         Maintain video upload process and YouTube page.

·         Write SEO-friendly content for travel landing pages and perform basic keyword research.

·         Become a company advocate in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

·         Identify opportunities to guest blog and invite guest bloggers to participate.

·         Regularly provide feedback on insights gained from social media monitoring (Facebook Insights, etc.).

·         Continuously monitor social media trends and tools for changes that affect our competitive landscape.

·         Use alerts, search and other tools to monitor for mentions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Job Requirements

·         In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)

·         Minimum of 1-2 years experience writing/managing a company blog and managing social media channels for a brand

·         Bachelor?s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism or Marketing

·         Strong, proven passion for travel

·         Solid understanding of basic HTML

·         Experience writing SEO-friendly website content

·         Tanzania & East Africa Travel industry experience is a essential

Skills/Abilities

• Proficient computer skills
• Professional office appearance
• Ability to move and/or lift 20-25 Kg in case required.
