PROCESS ENGINEER MANAGER TANZANIA

We are seeking an Operations Manager to focus on the Tanzanian production.
An enthusiastic, practical person required. The applicant must have a good understanding
of English, and be enthusiastic about training local staff, for some of whom English is a second language.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Practical factory management experience.
• Engineering experience an advantage.
• Must be self-reliant, practical and hands-on with equipment/processing.
• An ability to work without supervision and make decisions under pressure.
• An understanding of health and safety requirements, ISO 2000 and Organic, Fair Trade production.
• Strong computer skills and record keeping.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• Budgeting and cashflow experience.
• Willing to be flexible and help out in any role within our small team.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• To manage and train production and factory staff to think independently and problem-solve.
• To ensure oil production meets quality requirements and manage production planning
(processing and shipping).
• To ensure that all orders are packed and shipped on time from Factory.
• To ensure that the company’s plant and facilities are properly maintained.
• To be able to run oil production shifts where required.
• To manage the H&S, FSP, FSSC and Organic programmes in conjunction with all relevant staff and
ensure all product and technical queries are answered including testing register.
• To ensure that stocks required for exports are ordered and arrive on time.
• Responsible for facility expenditure and engineering budget.
• New projects as required, such as Macadamia Nut Oil processing plant and Tanzania processing
plant.
• Understanding the biogas plant system and its management.
