Engineering Sales & Marketing Executive as detailed on this advert.
Position Title: Engineering Sales and Marketing Executive
Reports to: Chief Executive of the Company
Purpose of the position: The ideal candidate should demonstrate super sales and business development skills to increase revenue across the Company's activities.
Candidate MUST be a team player with excellent communication skills as the position requires significant interaction with all departments
Candidate should have experience in a fast paced competitive market, preferably working in the lift industry with emphasis on new installation sales. Candidate must be comfortable developing new leads through prospecting and the ability to manage renewing existing business. He or she must be a 'go getter' looking to meet and exceed aggressive sales goals. Ability to multi-task and follow up is imperative.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and renew existing accounts
2. Searching for new clients who could benefit from company products in a designated region
3. Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationship with customers
4. Managing and interpretation customer requirements
5. Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs
6. Negotiating tender and contract terms including negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
7. Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
8. Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
9. Prospect and cultivate new accounts including providing training and producing support materials for the sales team.
10. Build proposals, negotiate contracts and maintain delivery of accounts
11. Interface with all internal departments to facilitate project execution
12. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly report for management
13. To coordinate routine checks on gears, motors, overload detection devices, brakes, doors and locks
14. To make minor repairs or isolating problems until service can be carried out
15. Analyse breakdown trends to identify recurring defects in equipment
16. To coordinate installation of lifts, lifting gear and lift wells
17. To perform any other related duties as directed by the Chief Executive
Required education and experience
Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil
Engineering. Sales & Marketing, Business or a related field.
Must have more than 3years sales experience preferably in the construction or lift industry
Must be experienced in building comprehensive proposals and contract closures
Highly organized with a 'can do' attitude
Demonstrated history of meeting sales goals
Knowledge of Microsoft office reporting tools
Preferable skills
The incumbent must have working knowledge of building comprehensive proposals and
contract closures, must be comfortable working remotely via email and messaging, and
be naturally organized, trustworthy and ready to take challenges. Previous experience in
construction or lift industry is desirable. Working organization
The incumbent will be based in Dar es Salaam with frequent trips to location in Tanzania
or abroad, as needed. Working schedule will be typical office hours. The incumbent will
report directly to the Chief Executive of the Company.
Contractual arrangements
The initial probation period will be of six months. An engagement extension might be
offered based on the achieved results.
